Footwear maker Bata is expected to show strong performance in April-June quarter due to increase in sale of school shoes, advancement of end of season sale and monsoon sale. Profit is likely to be at Rs 60 crore during the quarter against Rs 92 crore in year-ago period, according to average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18. The base quarter had an exceptional gain of Rs 43 crore on account of receipt from property development.
Revenue may increase 11 percent to Rs 756 crore on yearly basis. Operating profit is seen rising 18.3 percent to Rs 102.2 crore and margin may expand 80 basis points to 13.5 percent in Q1.
