Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals Enterprise today reported a 40.46 percent fall in standalone net profit to Rs 72.83 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 122.33 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise said in a BSE filing.
However, its total income from operations rose to Rs 1,680.61 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 1,425 crore for the same period year ago.
In separate filing, the company said its board has approved the issue of rated, listed, non-convertible debentures of the face value of Rs 10 lakh each aggregating to Rs 200 crore on a private placement basis.
Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise today ended 2.39 percent up at Rs 1,247.70 apiece on BSE.
