In this year’s list, 12 out of the top 25 are new, signaling a shift in the opportunities available to job seekers in the country.

Three IT majors TCS, Accenture and Infosys took the top three spots in LinkedIn’s 2025 top companies list for India, a statement said on April 8.

The Tata group firm retained the top spot for another year, while Accenture and Infosys followed closely behind at the second and third spot, respectively. Another IT firm Cognizant grabbed the 5th spot on the list, showcasing the dominance of tech firms in providing career progress opportunities in the country, the statement added.

The companies are hiring talents in core skills such as development tools, data storage technologies and enterprise software, especially in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, according to LinkedIn.

“The biggest learning from this year’s list is that companies are not just hiring for where they are today, but also for where they want to be tomorrow. Nineteen of the top 25 companies come from technology, finance, and enterprise software sectors, looking for technically fluent professionals who can work across teams, think critically, adapt quickly, and grow with the business,” said Nirajita Banerjee, LinkedIn career expert and India senior managing editor.

In this year’s list, 12 out of the top 25 are new, signaling a shift in the opportunities available to job seekers in the country.

Fidelity Investments, ranked 4th on the list, made the highest-ranking debut, followed by ServiceNow at 17 and Stripe at 21.

Financial services firms also have a heavy presence in the list with a total of 7 companies, including JPMorgan Chase (7), Wells Fargo (15) and American Express (25).

Common roles being hired for in these companies include business operations analyst, fraud analyst and financial analyst, with key skills in capital markets, investment banking and commercial banking, according to the statement.

Global multinational companies also made their presence felt in the list, showcasing their growing footprint in the country. E-commerce giant Amazon took the 8th spot on the list with Alphabet and Salesforce occupying the 9th and the 12th ranks respectively.

“Artificial intelligence, AI engineering and mobile application development are the most sought after skills at these firms,” the report said.

Other global firms on the list Synopsys Inc (13), Continental (14) and RTX (20) are investing in their design engineering, test engineering and quality assurance teams, with skills in computer hardware, signal processing and electronic control systems.
