State-owned hydropower company SJVN on Thursday was granted 'Navratna' status by the government. With the grant of 'Navratna' status, the company should benefit in enhancing the market credibility and in undertaking larger-size PPP projects. SJVN is a CPSE with an annual turnover of Rs. 2833 crores and net profit of Rs 908 crores for FY 2023-24.
Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd and Railtel Corporation of India Ltd were also upgraded to Navratna CPSE (Central Public Sector Enterprises). NHPC is a CPSE with annual turnover of Rs. 8405 crores and netprofit of Rs. 3744 crores for FY 2023-24. SECI is a CPSE with an annual turnover of Rs. 13035 crores and Net profit of Rs. 436 crores for FY 2023-24. RCIL is a CPSE with an annual turnover of Rs. 2622 crores and net profit of Rs. 246 crores for FY 2023-24.

Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we inform you that Department
of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance, Government of India has granted “Navratna Status” to SJVN Limited," the company said in a regulatory filing.

SJVN posted 31% rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 357.09 crore during June quarter, on account of higher income. It had reported a net profit of Rs 271.75 crore during the April-June period of the preceding financial year, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company increased its total income to Rs 958.47 crore during the quarter from Rs 744.39 crore in the year-ago period. Its expenses stood at Rs 476.39 crore as against Rs 362.60 crore in the first quarter last fiscal.
