Apple’s free-on-board value of its iPhone sales has already crossed Rs 1 lakh crore in the first 10 months of FY25 on the back of a record exports from India, Business Standard reported on February 10.
This marked the first time ever that the total value has crossed the milestone of Rs 1 lakh crore inside a financial year, the report added.
In the first 10-month period of the current financial year, the iPhone maker’s exports jumped 31 percent over Rs 76,000 crore in the same period of the previous financial year, the newspaper said.
In January alone, the Cupertino-based tech major posted a record export of Rs 19,000 crore with the help of its three key vendors, including Foxconn, Tata and Pegatron, which was recently acquired by the Tatas, according to the newspaper.
Earlier, the Economic Times had reported that the total exports value in 2024 had surpassed Rs 1 lakh crore or $12.8 billion.
However, the growth in tech firm’s shipment from India may see a slow performance in 2025. Despite that, a double-digit growth will solidify Apple’s leadership in the high-value category, moneycontrol had reported.
According to IDC estimates, Apple shipped just over 12 million iPhones in 2024, marking a substantial 34-35% increase from 9 million in 2023.
