In an interview with CNBC, Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of Aditya Birla Group, says that India has the opportunity to be a manufacturing hub if not for the whole world, then atleast for the Asian region. India has positives like cheap labour and educated people, he says. Birla says that these are interesting times with services business doing well, but manufacturing facing headwinds due to commodity prices.
