Honda Cars India today said its compact sedan Amaze has crossed 2 lakh sales milestone in the domestic market since its launch in April 2013.

The introduction of the Amaze in the country had marked Honda's entry into the diesel segment in India.

"During the span of three years, Amaze has achieved sales milestone of 2 lakh units bringing new customers into Honda fold. The car has been extremely popular in both big and smaller cities due to its strong value offering," Honda Cars India Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales Jnaneswar Sen said in a statement.

An updated version of the compact sedan was launched in March this year with several new features including a variant powered by Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

The car is priced between Rs 5.41 lakh and Rs 8.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
