American Express to open state-of-the-art campus in India as it ramps up presence in the region

American Express is set to open its state-of-the-art campus in India, spanning 1 million sq ft of space, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in the region.

Employees will start moving into the Gurugram facility at the end of May 2024. The campus, which aims to foster a dynamic work environment, has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification for Building Design and Construction (BD+C) Core and Shell Development.

“The new office building provides a modern, energy-efficient workspace that will enable our teams to continue driving innovation and delivering exceptional value to our customers world-wide,” said Sanjay Khanna, CEO and Country Manager, American Express, India.

American Express also operates other facilities in Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Pune.

Employee-oriented campus

The architecture of the facility has focussed on employee health and wellness. From expansive green spaces to inviting community areas, every aspect has been crafted to promote movement and well-being.

The campus has facilities, including a cafeteria with a live kitchen, outdoor sports courts, indoor games, and recreational areas.

The facility also incorporates advanced technologies to minimise environmental impact. From LED lighting to renewable energy sources, the design prioritises energy efficiency and waste management.
