New urea policy a right move for India, says FAI

Satish Chander, Director General of Fertiliser Association of India said the change in the urea policy is on the right direction and it is going to be positive for the country.

The new urea policy is considered to be a boon for farmers and fertiliser retailers. Urea companies will get nutrient-based subsidy (NBS) and allowed to hike prices by 10% in first year, according to the new urea policy. Fertiliser stocks have marked gains on the update that there will be no government control on urea prices.
