TCS to invest Rs 550 cr in new campus in Indore

India's largest software services provider Tata Consultancy Services plans to build a new integrated campus at Indore in Madhya Pradesh for IT (information technology) and BPO (business process outsourcing) operations, with an initial investment of Rs 550 crore in the first phase.

    India's largest software services provider Tata Consultancy Services plans to build a new integrated campus at Indore in Madhya Pradesh for IT (information technology) and BPO (business process outsourcing) operations, with an initial investment of Rs 550 crore in the first phase.


    The TCS Indore campus will be located on a 100 acre property alloted by the Madhya Pradesh government and the total development area of the campus is expected to be around 1.5 million square feet, it said on Monday.


    Once all the applicable permissions are received, the construction of phase I is expected to be completed by March 2016, it added.


    On completion, the campus will provide direct job opportunities to 10,000 associates in phase I, TCS said.

    TCS shares were trading down 0.7% at Rs 1,306.50 in late trading on NSE.
