Growth not compromised, budget very balanced: IRB Infra

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, VD Mhaiskar, CMD, IRB Infrastructure gave his views on how he read Budget 2011 presented by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

Mhaiskar said, "I think not much was expected out of this budget as far as infra funding is concerned. But overall he seems to have done good. It is a good balance without compromising on growth. He has tried to tame the inflation in some manner or the other, by not increasing the taxes and not taking up the excise duties and so on. Particularly on infrastructure in terms of the interest cost where there was very little that could have been done in a budget. But I think it is a good balanced budget."
