"Gold traded positive as the dollar index showed minor weakness and fresh geopolitical concerns resurfaced with the EU approving a new sanctions package on Russia, particularly targeting oil trade. This lifted sentiment in safe-haven assets, helping Comex gold reclaim the $3350 mark. The recent swing in gold remains range-bound and volatile between $3280–$3370. Focus now shifts to next week's speech by Fed Chair Powell, which could offer fresh cues on interest rate direction and influence gold's trajectory," said Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities.
