Gold Prices Today on Oct 17 in India: Gold has once again soared to a record high in international markets with prices hitting $4,379.93 an ounce on Friday. This is biggest weekly gain since 2008. This also means that the rally that began in August this year is continuing with no sign of ebbing.
In India, this means that gold rates may cross the Rs 1.3 lakh/10 gm mark. For Dhanteras, the festival known for tradition of buying gold and silver, Indians will be looking for more options to meet the budget requirements. As per the latest data by gold rate tracking site Goodreturns, there has been a marginal correction of Rs 10 in all three categories of 24K, 22K and 18K gold prices.
