The number of people who go to retail stations to get energy of different kinds- petrol, diesel, CNG etc, stands close to 6 crore 70 lakhs people every day in India. It is close to some countries’ population size, says oil minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

The oil and gas ministry is spending a lot of time in promoting cleaner forms of energy including biofuels, natural gas- where we plan to increase its share in total energy basket to 15 percent by 2030, says Hardeep Singh Puri.

Petroleum and Natural Gas minister Hardeep Singh Puri on May 30 said the strong profits reported by the state-run OMCs reflects the overall robust state of energy economy in India. He was speaking at the CII Business Summit.

The Ministry of Finance said on May 30 it has examined the draft guidelines by the Reserve Bank of India on gold loans and suggested to ensure that the requirements of small borrowers who avail credit of up to Rs 2 lakh should not be adversely affected. Shares of gold financiers such as Muthoot Finance and Manappuram Finance are sharply off early lows after Finance Ministry's informed about its suggestions through a social media post. (Read More)

• OYO Founder Ritesh Agarwal has invited name suggestions for its parent firm Oravel Stays, in a strategic move as the global travel tech platform prepares to launch its IPO and looks to have more premium segment offerings.
• There is a high possibility that the name chosen through the exercise may end up being the name of the premium hotels app that OYO has been working to launch in the near future, people familiar with the strategy told PTI.

• The initial public offering (IPO) of 3B Films, a manufacturer of premium plastic packaging films, opened for subscription on Friday, with shares priced at Rs50 each.
• The company aims to raise Rs33.75 crore through this IPO, which will remain open until June 3, according to an official statement.
• 3B Films’ shares will be listed on the SME platform. Investors can place bids for a minimum of 3,000 shares and in multiples thereafter.
• The IPO consists of a fresh issue of 35.52 lakh equity shares, amounting to Rs17.76 crore, and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 31.98 lakh shares worth Rs15.99 crore by promoters Ashokbhai Dhanjibhai Babariya, Mukesh Dhanjibhai Babariya, and Gulabben Nitin Babariya.
• The proceeds from the offering will be used to finance capital expenditure, meet working capital needs, and support general corporate purposes.

Scoda Tubes' initial public offering (IPO), which opened for subscription on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, received a decent response from investors. According to NSE data, the Rs 220 crore offering garnered bids for 5,05,65,400 shares against 1,18,46,169 shares on offer, resulting in an oversubscription of 5.06 times by 1:30 PM on Thursday, May 29.

NSE shares aren’t available for trading on the stock market yet, but that hasn’t deterred investors. In a single day, prices of its unlisted shares soared by nearly Rs 475, reflecting a sharp 27% jump as demand spiked, a latest report says.
