Bengaluru’s Electronics City flyover will be closed to all vehicles from 11 pm to 6 am until further notice.

"NHAI will be carrying out major maintenance work on the Hosur Main Road Elevated Flyover. In this regard, from March 5 until further notice, all types of vehicular traffic will be restricted on both sides of the elevated flyover—from Silk Board towards Electronics City and from Electronics City towards Silk Board—from 11 pm to 6 am the next day," said Shivaprakash Devaraju, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic Bengaluru South Division).

"During the day, it will remain open to all types of vehicles from 6 am to 11 pm," he added.

The 9.9 km-long elevated expressway from Central Silk Board Junction to Electronics City, which opened in 2010, was designed to reduce travel time to Electronics City, home to companies such as Infosys and Biocon.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru Metro’s Yellow Line, connecting RV Road to Bommasandra and originally scheduled for completion in December 2021, would have eased the traffic burden on Hosur Road. However, the train operations have been delayed due to a shortage of rolling stock.
