Welspun Global fixes Dec 27 as record date for scheme of arrangement

Welspun India Limited has informed BSE that the Composite Scheme of Arrangement between the Company, Welspun Global Brands Limited and Welspun Retail Limited has been approved by the Honorable High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad on November 26, 2012. The Scheme has become effective from December 07, 2012 and accordingly, Welspun Global Brands Limited stands merged into Welspun India Limited. As per the Scheme, the Company will be issuing its equity shares in the ratio of one equity share of the Company for each equity share held in Welspun Global Brands Limited. In order to determine the equity shareholders who are entitled to receive equity share(s) of the Company, the Company has fixed December 27, 2012 as the Record Date.Source : BSE
