Following the success of Yes San Francisco- a global initiative by Deloitte and World Economic Forum- to reimagine cities as more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable- the second chapter, Yes Bengaluru, has now been launched.

Karnataka IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge said, "Over the next three years, Yes Bengaluru will support our innovators working on real urban challenges in areas like urban mobility, green energy, water conservation, and waste management. Yes SF and Yes BLR will also collaborate to provide selected startups with soft landing and market access opportunities across borders."

He said, "Bengaluru is already a global innovation hub, and with this initiative, we’re backing bold ideas that can reimagine how our cities live, move, and breathe."

Sharath Bachegowda, chairman of Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KEONICS), said, "After Yes San Francisco, Yes Bengaluru will work with startups to develop solutions that address infrastructure and mobility issues. The programme will begin operations from September."

The World Economic Forum’s Centre for Urban Transformation, along with its early-stage innovation platform UpLink, launched Yes Cities -a global programme to tackle urban challenges by fostering circular economies and supporting startups.

The initiative began with YES San Francisco in 2023 as a pilot to demonstrate how place-based innovation challenges can attract investment, strengthen ecosystems, and catalyse collaboration. Announced at the Forum’s 2025 Annual Meeting, Yes Cities now aims to support over 1,000 innovators and scale transformative solutions across more than 50 cities by 2030.
