Adani Transmission appoints Anil Sardana as CEO

Adani Transmission today said it has appointed Anil Sardana as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer with effect from May 1, 2018. Prior to joining the Adani Group he was the MD & CEO of Tata Power, based out of Mumbai, the Adani Group firm said in a statement.

Adani Transmission today said it has appointed Anil Sardana as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer with effect from May 1, 2018. Prior to joining the Adani Group he was the MD & CEO of Tata Power, based out of Mumbai, the Adani Group firm said in a statement.

He has over three decades of experience in the power and infrastructure sector. He started his career with NTPC and subsequently worked with BSES and Tata Group companies in the power and Infra sector, the statement said.

"We welcome Anil Sardana to the Adani Family. He joins us at a very critical phase when the company has recently entered the power distribution space with the acquisition of the Mumbai GTD business. Sardana, (who) comes with a vast experience in the power sector, will play an important role in taking our Transmission business to new heights," Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said.

Sardana is an honours graduate in Electrical Engineering from Delhi University (1980) and also holds a PGDM from All India Management Association.
