The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a revised schedule for the Junior Engineer (JE) recruitment examination 2025. The new dates apply to both Civil and Electrical branches after the earlier exams were cancelled.
Revised JE exam dates
According to the updated timetable, the JE Civil exam will now take place on 7 September 2025, while the JE Electrical exam has been rescheduled to 21 September 2025. JKSSB stated that the cancellation of the earlier exams was due to weather related emergencies.
Admit card release dates
JKSSB has also announced the admit card release dates for candidates. Those appearing for the Civil branch examination can download their hall tickets from 1 September 2025, whereas candidates for the Electrical branch can access their admit cards from 15 September 2025. The admit cards will be available on the official website: jkssb.nic.in.
The revised schedule is as follows:
| JE Branch | Exam Date | Admit Card Release Date |
|---|---|---|
| Civil | 7 September 2025 | 1 September 2025 |
| Electrical | 21 September 2025 | 15 September 2025 |
Constable PET rescheduled
Apart from the JE examinations, JKSSB has also issued an update on the recruitment process for Constables in the Home Department (Armed/SDRF/IRP/Executive). The Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), which were disrupted due to bad weather, have now been rescheduled.
Candidates who appeared in Shift C of the PET/PST on 26 August 2025 and qualified the PST but could not complete the PET, will now appear for the test on 29 August 2025 at 12 PM. Similarly, candidates whose PET/PST was postponed on 27 August 2025 will also undergo the test on the same date, with timings remaining as earlier notified by JKSSB.
JKSSB has urged all applicants to regularly check the official website for updates regarding the JE recruitment and other examinations. All admit cards, revised schedules, and notifications will be published only on the official portal: jkssb.nic.in.
