India Post GDS Recruitment 2025: Registration Begins for 21413 Vacancies, Apply by March 3

India Post has announced the recruitment for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts in 2025. A total of 21,413 vacancies are available across different states, including positions for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak. The recruitment covers multiple states, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of vacancies, followed by Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility Criteria

They should have passed the 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognised board. Knowledge of the local language up to the 10th standard is required, along with basic computer skills. Additionally, candidates must know how to cycle and have an adequate means of livelihood.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on a system-generated merit list, with no examination. The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the 10th standard, converted into a percentage up to four decimal places. Shortlisted candidates will be required to verify their documents. If necessary, a basic medical fitness test will be conducted.
