The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has started the recruitment process for 7,279 Special Teacher posts across Bihar. This initiative is being carried out under Advertisement No. 42/2025, aiming to strengthen inclusive education in the state by appointing qualified teachers to special schools.
The online application window opened on July 2, 2025, and will remain open till July 28, 2025. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply through the official BPSC application portal bpsconline.bihar.gov.in.
Vacancy Details
Out of the total posts, 5,534 vacancies are for teachers from Classes 1 to 5, and 1,745 are for Classes 6 to 8. These are full-time teaching roles for special schools.
To be eligible for the Class 1 to 5 teaching post, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks, completed a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in Special Education, and undergone six months of special training.
For the Class 6 to 8 posts, applicants must hold a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks, a B.Ed in Special Education, and the same six-month training.
Candidates must also be between 18 and 37 years of age as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxations will be provided according to the rules set by the Bihar government.
