It has been widely speculated that Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal are heading towards a separation, with recent reports confirming that the couple has appeared before a Mumbai court to finalise their divorce proceedings. The latest update reveals some of the reasons behind their decision to part ways.

According to a report by ABP News, during the court hearing, both Dhanashree and Yuzvendra disclosed that they had been living separately for the past 18 months. When questioned about the cause of their split, they attributed it to "compatibility issues."

This admission sheds light on the complexities of their relationship, though the couple has remained relatively private about the personal details of their decision.

Though there were earlier reports claiming that their divorce had already been finalised, As per a report by News18 Showsha, Dhanashree’s lawyer has clarified that the proceedings are still ongoing.

The lawyer added, “I have no comments to make on the proceedings, the matter is currently sub judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated." This statement came in response to widespread speculation, reminding the public of the importance of accurate reporting.

One of the most discussed rumours surrounding the divorce has been the alleged claim that Dhanashree was seeking Rs 60 crore in alimony from Chahal. This sparked considerable media attention. However, Dhanashree’s family swiftly rejected these claims.

The family member clarified, “We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever." The statement continued to emphasise the harm caused by such unverified reports and called for responsible journalism.

In light of these ongoing proceedings, the couple’s privacy remains a priority, and the family urged media outlets to exercise caution when covering sensitive topics.
