The sudden death of Delhi-based fashion YouTuber Pushpendra, popularly known as Akash, has left his followers, family members and friends in shock. The 31-year-old content creator was found dead in the Anand Vihar area of Delhi on Sunday.
Pushpendra had built a presence online as a fashion YouTuber and clothing merchant. With more than 4.5 lakh followers across Instagram and YouTube, he regularly used social media to promote and market his clothing brand called “Styling.” His business operated from the Mandawali area, where he also ran a garment showroom.
Who was Pushpendra?
Pushpendra, also known as Akash, was a YouTuber and garment trader from east Delhi’s Mandawali locality. The 31-year-old lived with his family, which includes his father Budhpal Singh, mother Sunita, younger brother Vikas, his wife Ritu and their three-year-old daughter.
He managed a garment showroom in Mandawali along with his younger brother. Apart from his offline business, he remained active on digital platforms where he used Instagram and YouTube to showcase and sell clothes through online content.
Pushpendra’s early career
Before gaining popularity online and expanding his clothing business, Pushpendra reportedly started small. According to reports, his journey began with a modest clothing shop in the Talab Chowk area.
Over time, as his garment business grew and began attracting more customers, he started exploring social media as a way to promote his products. Eventually, he began creating content for Instagram and YouTube, where he showcased fashion items and promoted his clothing brand.
Investigation into Pushpendra’s death
The deceased, identified as Pushpendra alias Akash, was a resident of School Block in Mandawali. According to reports, he had been missing since Saturday after leaving his home.
Family members said he was carrying around ₹1.5 lakh in cash along with a gold ring, a gold chain and an iPhone when he left the house.
Relatives stated that Akash left home on Saturday with the cash and valuables, but his phone soon became unreachable. Concerned family members filed a missing person complaint with the police and began searching for him themselves.
They have alleged that despite informing the police about his disappearance, no serious effort was initially made to trace him.
According to relatives, it was the family who eventually located Akash’s body and then informed the police. The body was later taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
After the autopsy, angry family members placed the body outside the Mandawali police station and staged a protest. They raised slogans against the police and demanded action in the case.

The family has also raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding his death. They claimed that one of Akash’s friends was with him until his last known location but returned without informing the family about where he was.
Relatives further alleged that the cash, gold ring and chain that Akash had been carrying were missing from the place where his body was discovered. Police officials, however, said the matter is currently under investigation and that further action will depend on the findings of the post-mortem report.
