Monalisa Bhosle, who gained fame during the Maha Kumbh Mela, has been in the news again after tying the knot with actor and model Farman Khan in a temple ceremony in Kerala.

Their wedding has attracted significant attention, particularly because it allegedly occurred in spite of considerable resistance from their families. The couple have since approached the Kerala Police seeking protection.

As the couple got married, several images and videos of their marriage have gone viral in which Monalisa is seen dressed up in a red saree with sindoor. While her husband is spotted wearing a white dhoti kurta.

Who is Farman Khan?

Farman Khan is an actor and model from Maharashtra who has been associated with regional cinema and modelling projects. According to reports, he met Monalisa around a year and a half ago through Facebook, and their friendship gradually turned into a romantic relationship.

Their familes were against their relationship due to their different religions. Monalisa’s father is against his daughter's relationship with Farman and had even tried to arrange her marriage to someone else.

In spite of the pressure, the couple have remained together and even continued with their relationship.

Eventually, they traveled to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, where they sought police protection in light of their families’ disapproval. Subsequently, they got married in a simple ceremony at the Arumanoor Nainar Temple in Poovar. The visuals of the wedding are going viral on social media and there are reports that many local leaders and public figures attended the wedding to bless the couple.

Farman also shared recently that it was Monalisa who first proposed to him. Farman revealed that he had initially turned down the offer but later agreed to date her. It led to a stronger connection between them over time.

For the unversed, Monalisa had earlier become a viral sensation overnight after she was spotted selling rudraksha garlands during the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela. She gained the attention of the public with her striking appearance, and her grey eyes became a sensation on the internet almost overnight. Since that time, Monalisa has stayed in the spotlight, with rumors indicating that she had traveled to Kerala for a film shoot before the wedding.
