Trisha Krishnan, who is in news for her alleged affair with TVK Chief and actor Vijay, had once shared her thoughts about marriage and separation. Public interest grew following Vijay's recent presence at a celebration in Chennai alongside Trisha. That moment, captured during a social gathering, rekindled whispers circulating for years.
Though nothing confirmed, reactions spread fast across digital spaces. Attention shifted quickly toward past statements Trisha had made under similar questions.
Now surfacing again, the gossip follows claims that Sangeetha Sornalingam, Vijay’s wife, initiated divorce proceedings - citing his alleged affair with a fellow actress. Despite no comment from either Vijay or Trisha, their recent shared outing sparked chatter across online platforms.
Now an old interview of Trisha dating back to 2016 has resurfaced online. While speaking with IndiaGlitz, she had shared her hesitance about walking down the aisle.
She said back then marriage isn’t something she brushes on lightly.
“I want to feel whether this is the person I can live with for the rest of my life because I don’t believe in divorce. I don’t want to go in for a divorce when I get married and I’m someone who will,” she had said.
“I do not believe in divorce. I will always think 100 times before marriage. I don’t want to end up hurting someone else or living an unhappy life,” Trisha had then added in the interview.
Trisha then said that many couples were in marriages but unhappy but she believes in love.
“I know tons of married couples around me who are in it for all the wrong reasons. They are and unhappy. I do not want to be in such a marriage where people are unhappy. I desperately want to fall in love. Marriage is secondary, but I definitely want to meet my companion - that I’m very particular about.”
Trisha called off her engagement with Varun Manian in 2015.
In another interview with Onmanorama, the actor shared that the breakup followed when her ex-fiancé asked her to leave her acting career behind.
'So the wedding ended - because my partner wanted me to quit performing. Faced with that choice, I walked away from the relationship rather than the screen. Pregnancy might pause things later; nothing else will. If acting opportunities shift toward supporting parts, then I’ll take roles matching how people see me - yet staying within cinema remains certain. Acting until life ends - that stays the goal,” she stated.

Few weeks back, Trisha caught attention again - this time because of how she reacted to something Parthiban said during an Awards show. In one part of the show, he didn’t call her by her real name but addressed her as Kundavai, the role she played in Ponniyin Selvan.
Reacting strongly to the comment, Trisha wrote on X, “I was informed by the organisers of a recent event that my name and picture were included at the last minute at the request of an individual conveyed through his assistant. A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. It just makes stupidity louder. Crude words without knowledge say more about the speaker than the person they’re aimed at.”
After criticism arose, Parthiban issued an apology on X, clarifying that his comment had slipped out by accident. Since he faced multiple quick questions onstage, pause for reflection hardly existed. What came next? An attempt to make amends. The moment unfolded fast - thoughts tumbled more than they were shaped.
