Bollywood celebrity couple Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have been together for more than two decades and are still thriving, unlike other couples in the industry. However, Twinkle’s father, Rajesh Khanna, once warned the actress about Akshay.

In a throwback interview, Rajesh Khanna recalled telling his daughter Twinkle to keep checking on Akshay. However, the late actor also had advised his daughter to be careful not to be too controlling, leading things to get out of hand or break under the pressure.

He said, “Maine apni beti ko bhi bola hai. Maine kaha hai, 'Dekho Tina baba...', mai Tina bola hu kyuki Twinkle uska naam hai, 'Tina baba zara iski lagaam kheech k rakhna lekin itni bhi nahi kheechna ki toot jaayein’ (I have also told my daughter. I said, 'Look Tina baba...', I said Tina because Twinkle is her name, 'Tina baba please pull her bracelet a little but not so much that it breaks).”

Rajesh Khanna also quipped about his son-in-law, Akshay Kumar, Hera Pheri and said that the actor does a lot of 'hera-pheri' and sings a lot at this age.

The legendary actor said, “Iss umar me toh humara jo jamai raja hai vo boht gaata hai. Kabhi vo Bhool Bhulaiyaa karta hai kabhi Hera Pheri karta hai, Hera Pheri 2 karta jai (At this age, our son-in-law sings a lot. Sometimes he makes mistakes, sometimes he does Hera Feri, Hera Feri 2).”

He added, “Bohot hera pheri karta hai. Hera pheri wala he aadmi hai vo (He does a lot of Hera Feri. He is a Hera Feri man).”

Rajesh Khanna gave dating advice to Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna previously revealed in her social media post that her father, Rajesh Khanna, once gave her dating advice. She also revealed that her father never wished to see her heartbroken over breakups, so he enlightened her with dating advice.

She recalled that her father told her, “Don’t have one boyfriend, always have four at a time. That way your heart will never be broken.”
