Ranveer Allahbadia has been receiving significant backlash ever since his appearance on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. During the episode, he made a highly controversial and inappropriate comment to a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?"
As a result, Allahbadia has seen a sharp decline in his online following.
This significant drop in followers reflects the public's disapproval and the growing concern over the content influencers put out. The controversy highlights the delicate balance influencers must maintain in their public appearances and the potential consequences of crossing certain lines in pursuit of humour or entertainment.
Meanwhile, in the world of cricket, Virat Kohli is set to take the field once again as India faces Bangladesh in the much-anticipated Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled for February 20. Kohli’s performance in this tournament is highly anticipated, as fans eagerly await his contribution to India’s bid for another major international title. With the stakes high, this clash promises to be an exciting encounter for cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
Ranveer is expected to appear before the police in the next couple of days to provide his statement, as an FIR has been filed against him, Samay, Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and the producers of India’s Got Latent.
Both Samay and Ranveer have issued apologies, and the episode has been removed from YouTube. Samay also stated that he would fully cooperate with the police authorities. He wrote, "Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you."
Reports suggest that 30 individuals, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Samay Raina, Rakhi Sawant, Ashish Chanchlani, Balraj Ghai, Tanmay Bhat, Urfi Javed, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raftaar, and Deepak Kalal, have been summoned in connection with the ongoing investigation.
