Vijay Deverakonda, one of South cinema’s most bankable stars, has always maintained a level of privacy when it comes to his personal life—especially his rumoured relationship with actress Rashmika Mandanna.

However, in a recent heartfelt interview with Cinema Vikatan, the Arjun Reddy star offered a rare glimpse into his emotional evolution and the lessons he’s learned about relationships over the past few years.

While the actor didn’t name names, his candid remarks about his girlfriend have once again sparked renewed interest in his long-speculated romance with Rashmika.

Speaking about his priorities, Vijay confessed, “Relationships come above everything. I have been growing up over the last two years. I have learned to live life also. Before that, I was not like this. The last 2–3 years, I didn’t like how my life went. I didn’t spend enough time with my mum, dad, my girlfriend, and friends.”

The actor, who often juggles multiple film commitments, admitted that the demanding nature of his profession took a toll on his personal connections. But a turning point eventually arrived. “Suddenly, one day, I realised. I didn’t want to have such a feeling. Now… I make efforts to make time for my people. I make time for my friends, I make time for my mum and dad, for my relationships,” he added, making it clear that change is now intentional and ongoing.

Since they starred together in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019), fans have been captivated by Vijay and Rashmika's off-screen relationship.

Their Maldivian vacation last year only fuelled rumours that they might announce their engagement. Later, Vijay denied the rumours, saying he wasn't getting engaged or married "anytime soon."

On the work front, Rashmika has a full schedule that includes Pushpa 3, Thama, Cocktail 2, and The Girlfriend. She was most recently spotted opposite Salman Khan in Sikandar.

In the meantime, Vijay is working on two other significant projects, SVC 59 and VD14, and is getting ready for his spy thriller Kingdom, which is scheduled for release on July 31.
