Vijay Deverakonda is currently gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film Kingdom, slated to hit theatres on July 31, 2025. Ahead of the release, a grand pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on Monday, July 28, where an emotional moment involving Vijay's mother touched many hearts.

When music composer Anirudh Ravichander praised her son on stage, Vijay's mother, Madhavi, became visibly emotional. Her emotional response was captured in a video that swiftly went viral on social media, touching fans and giving the festivities a more personal touch.

In the video shared on Instagram, Anirudh can be seen praising Vijay's performance in the film and said, “I have watched the film—it’s a milestone in Vijay’s career as well as in my career." To this, Deverakonda’s mother, Madhavi, was seen getting emotional, proud of her son.

The upcoming movie, which is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, is being hailed as a fast-paced gangster saga that explores themes of power and the unbreakable bond between two brothers.

Vijay Deverakonda plays the lead role of Surya, a secret agent sent on a clandestine mission that permanently alters the course of his life.

The promotional campaign gains star power and regional resonance thanks to the captivating voice-over provided by Ranbir Kapoor in the Hindi version and the contributions of Jr. NTR and Suriya in the Telugu and Tamil versions, respectively.
