Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda’s much-awaited spy action thriller Kingdom is now officially postponed. Deemed to be out on May 30, 2025, the film is now scheduled to release on July 4, 2025, the makers announced in an official statement.
The film directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri has been delayed owing to some unanticipated national developments that have led to the promotional strategy going haywire.
The production house made it clear with a statement and wrote, "We wish to inform you that the release of our film Kingdom originally set for May 30 has been rescheduled to July 4. We explored every possibility to stick to the original date, but recent unforeseen events in the country and the current atmosphere have made it difficult for us to move forward with promotions or celebrations."
We believe this decision will help us present the Kingdom in the best possible way, with the creative excellence and spirit it deserves. We truly value your support and hope to receive your love when we meet you at the cinemas on July 4.
The makers also expressed their gratitude to the producers Dil Raju and Nithiin for their support in facilitating the date change, given the initial release date would have cut into the release of their own production, Thammudu.
