Chhaava becomes 14th highest grossing film of Indian cinema

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s historical epic, Chhava, has been creating a buzz at the box office with its exceptional performance. The film has now achieved an incredible feat, becoming the 14th Indian film to surpass the Rs 400 crore mark in net domestic collections.

This milestone further solidifies Chhava as one of the biggest blockbusters of recent times. The film's success is a testament to its widespread appeal and captivating storytelling, as it continues to break records and outperform several major box office hits.

With its impressive collections, Chhava has surpassed notable films such as Avatar: The Way of Water, Dangal, Avengers: Endgame, and Jailer, marking its position among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. The film now sets its sights on breaking into the top 10 highest-grossing films, with a few more significant milestones ahead, including surpassing films like Baahubali: The Beginning, 2.0, and Salaar: Cease Fire.

Chhaava, the historical epic depicting the valiant journey of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, continues to ride a wave of widespread acclaim and fan excitement. Initially released in Hindi, the film is now gearing up for a grand debut in Telugu, in response to overwhelming audience demand.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, with Rashmika Mandanna playing Yesubai Bhonsale. The film also features an impressive ensemble cast, including Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai.

The film's success at the box office underscores its strong connection with audiences and its ability to captivate viewers across demographics. Chhava continues to gain momentum, with its potential to join the exclusive Rs 420 crore+ club in the near future.

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is currently busy filming Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and is preparing for his role in Mahavatar, a film based on Lord Parshuram's life, directed by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik.
