Veteran Tamil actor Super Good Subramani passed away in Chennai on May 10 at the age of 58 after a battle with cancer. He was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital last week in a critical condition and succumbed to the illness despite medical efforts.

Veteran Tamil actor Super Good Subramani passed away on May 10 at the age of 58 in Chennai.

The actor was battling from cancer till he breathed his last. He was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai after brought in a very critical condition last week. Doctors revealed that Subramani was in the advanced stages of cancer, with the disease having spread extensively, including to his brain. Despite receiving intensive medical care, his condition deteriorated quickly, ultimately leading to his passing.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter in Class 11, and a son in Class 9. As reported by News18, his mortal remains were brought to his home in West Mambalam on the previous night, with the final rites scheduled to take place in Chennai today.

Fans and members of the film industry have been grieving the loss and paying sincere homage to the humble and committed artist.

Subramani started out in the film business as an assistant director, collaborating with well-known directors like Saravana Subbiah and Pavithran. Despite his initial goal of directing movies, he had to settle for acting due to a lack of opportunities. With prominent parts in critically acclaimed films like Pariyerum Perumal, Kaala, Pisasu, Rajini Murugan, Jai Bhim, and Vaanam Kottattum, he has made a name for himself as a trustworthy character actor over the past three decades. In Paramaan, he also played the lead. He was affectionately known as 'Super Good Subramani' because of his long-standing partnership with the Super Good Films banner.

Despite battling a severe illness, Subramani remained dedicated to his craft and continued working until his final days, showcasing his unwavering passion for cinema. As the industry mourns the loss of this humble and hardworking artist, may his soul rest in peace, and may his family find the strength and courage to navigate this difficult time.
