Venkatesh starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam breaks OTT records, bags highest TRP on TV premiere

Venkatesh's latest film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, has recently achieved a milestone success, breaking all the records. The film has grossed Rs 300 crores worldwide. Soon after its massive theatre success, Sankrantiki Vasthunam has recently premiered on television and OTT platforms creating new records.

The film notably secured the highest TRP rating among Telugu GECs, with an impressive 18.1 TVR during its satellite premiere on ZEE Telugu. This number marks the highest-rated premiere in the last two years on Telugu entertainment channels.

Furthermore, the film has also broken records on ZEE5, garnering over 310 million streaming minutes since its OTT debut. Sankranthiki Vasthunam has become the highest-ever opening on the ZEE5 platform surpassing more than 310 Million streaming minutes in India.

The film already becomes the all-time highest-grossing Telugu film in theaters and now the movie continues to shatter records with its phenomenal performance on OTT and TV. The film is speculated to break more OTT records.

The latest family drama, also starring Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the key role. The film is directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Shirish, with Dil Raju presenting.

For the unversed, Sankranthiki Vasthunam follows the search of Aakella, the Indian CEO of a top tech firm, who is abducted by the notorious Bijju Pandey gang during his visit to Hyderabad.

As the situation unfolds, the story introduces YD Raju, a suspended cop played by Venkatesh, his wife Bhagyalakshmi, portrayed by Aishwarya Rajesh, and Meenakshi, Raju's ex-girlfriend, essayed by Meenakshi Chaudhary, who is brought in to help resolve the crisis.
