  • Fans note similarities between UBS and OG scenes
  • Movie premieres March 19 with special shows and high prices

The trailer for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which stars Pawan Kalyan, has sparked a lot of talk online. The movie, directed by Harish Shankar, will hit the screens on March 19. It will compete with Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which stars Ranveer Singh and is also coming out in Telugu.

Fans see a lot of similarities

In the trailer, Pawan Kalyan plays a tough cop. This film is said to have been made based on Vijay's character in the 2016 Tamil hit Theri, which the movie is a remake of. But fans quickly pointed out that one look in the trailer looks a lot like how he looked in his 2025 movie They Call Him OG.

Pawan is holding a gun and saying something powerful while wearing a black-and-white outfit with a unique belt buckle in this scene. People on social media quickly compared it to a scene from OG where he wears almost the same clothes and shoots a gun in anger.

People are reacting on social media

Screenshots and clips from both movies spread quickly on X (formerly Twitter), and fans argued about whether the similarity was planned or just happened. Some people joked that the two scenes looked almost the same, while others wondered if OG had used footage that had never been used before.

Some users even said they thought the trailer shot was a scene from OG at first, which shows how similar the visuals were.

About the movie

Mythri Movie Makers made Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which brings Harish Shankar back together with Pawan Kalyan after their 2012 hit Gabbar Singh, which was a remake of the Hindi hit Dabangg.

The movie has a great cast, with Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, R. Parthiban, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, B. S. Avinash, Gautami, and Chammak Chandra all played important parts.

Early shows and ticket sales

The movie is expected to do well in Andhra Pradesh, with special benefit shows planned to start at 4 AM on the day it comes out. It is said that tickets for the premiere cost around Rs 500, and the government has allowed ticket prices to go up during the first ten days of the movie's run in theaters.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is going to be one of the most talked-about movies of the season because it has a lot of star power, a popular remake story, and a lot of buzz before it comes out.
