People think I come from a rich family, but I don't have the kind of money that would let me do whatever I want.

Upasana Kamineni Konidela is more than simply a member of one of India's most famous film families. She is the wife of superstar Ram Charan and the daughter-in-law of megastar Chiranjeevi.

She is the Vice Chairperson of Corporate Social Responsibility at Apollo Hospitals, which was started by her grandpa, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy. She is in charge of the hospital giant's social programs.

Kamiya Jani's Curly Tales recently talked about how Upasana would inherit a family business empire worth about Rs 77,000 crore. She came from the wealthy Kamineni family and went into business after finishing school, just like her mother, Shobana Kamineni, who helped Apollo grow.

Upasana is also the Managing Director of Family Health Plan Insurance TPA (FHPL) and the originator of the holistic wellness portal UR.Life. She has won awards for her work, such as the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Philanthropist of the Year and a spot in Forbes Tycoon of Tomorrow.

Upasana says that even though she comes from a wealthy family, she does not have unlimited access to money. In an interview with businesswoman Masoom Minawala, she said, "People think I come from a rich family, but I don't have the kind of money that would let me do whatever I want." I had to learn how to expand my business and make money that fit with my vision without relying on other people.

She has also been open about dealing with patriarchy at home, but she believes it was "nipped in the bud" early on. She said, "The girls in our family wanted their share, and now we treat men and women the same." She said, "They know your weaknesses and use them against you" when talking about how to get around in the business world. That's why I always get ready for a meeting ahead of time. Those added abilities and knowledge give me the confidence to know that no one can hurt me." Upasana is a strong advocate for women's empowerment, healthcare, and wellbeing. She has created her own credentials and inherited legacy, making her a powerful force in her own right.
