Upasana Kamineni Konidela, entrepreneur and wife of RRR star Ram Charan, has blended spirituality and family bonds into her latest announcement.

Taking to Instagram, she shared that she had completed a nine-week Sai Baba vrat that began on Guru Purnima, describing it as a journey of “peace, faith, and healing.”

In her post, Upasana revealed she undertook the vrat along with her daughter Kaara’s nurse, Lata Sister. “I am ever grateful to Baba for blessing me with much more than I could have asked for. Thank you, Baba, for always protecting me. I pray to serve as many people as possible in this lifetime, as a small gesture of gratitude,” she wrote.

Marking the moment with seva, she added, “Meals are being served today as seva on all @athammaskitchen customers behalf. Jai Sairam.”

Upasana launched Athamma’s Kitchen on the birthday of her mother-in-law, Surekha Konidela in February. Described as a home-cooked meals initiative, the venture is deeply inspired by Surekha’s decades of nurturing her family with food, particularly preparing meals for her husband, Megastar Chiranjeevi, during his extensive travels.

A statement from Upasana highlighted that the initiative “redefines the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship, setting a new paradigm of mutual respect and collaboration.”

Upasana's grandfather, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, founded Apollo Hospitals, where she currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of Corporate Social Responsibility. She oversees the social programs for the hospital behemoth.

Upasana would inherit a family business empire valued at approximately Rs 77,000 crore, according to a recent episode of Kamiya Jani's Curly Tales. Like her mother, Shobana Kamineni, who aided Apollo's development, she came from the wealthy Kamineni family and entered the business world after completing her education.

In addition, Upasana is the creator of the holistic wellness portal UR.Life and the Managing Director of Family Health Plan Insurance TPA (FHPL). Her efforts have earned her recognition with accolades like Forbes Tycoon of Tomorrow and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Philanthropist of the Year.
