Uorfi Javed cancels Cannes 2025 trip following visa rejection, says 'was thinking on a few wild costume ideas'

Social media influencer Uorfi Javed was all set to make her debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year but things didn't turn in her favour. Urfi informed her followers that her visa was rejected, which forced her to cancel her visit.

She encouraged her admirers to share their rejection stories and wrote, every rejection is an opportunity, if you look carefully.

Uorfi will be unable to attend the event owing to a cancelled visa. She wrote on her social media handle and shared a message on rejection and inspiration.

Uorfi noted that she was working on a few "crazy" clothing ideas, but she and her team were dejected when they received the news of visa refusal.

"I haven't uploaded anything or been seen any place because I was going through a period. My business did not function. I attempted a variety of other things, only to be rejected. Inde Wild provided me with the opportunity to travel to Cannes (many thanks to Diipa Khosla and Kshitij Kankaria). Unfortunately, my visa was refused. I was working on some wild dress ideas. My team and I were very disheartened," she wrote.

Despite receiving an upsetting rejection, Uorfi made the best of it.

She transformed rejection into motivation, encouraging her audience to share their own rejection experiences in order to encourage one another.

"I'm sure a lot of you guys must be going through rejections yourself and I would love to know your stories. Let's support and uplift each other. Rejections aren't the end of the world. It should only motivate you to work harder. Please share your rejection stories using #rejected and tag me. Will share it only stories to motivate others. After rejections, feeling dejected and crying over it is normal. In fact healthy. Even I do cry but what happens after? Every rejection is an opportunity if you look carefully. After so many rejections in life, I ain't stopping and so shouldn't you," she shared.

Additionally, Uorfi Javed captioned the post saying, "Rejections don’t define you. It’s what you make out of that situation. Guys let’s all share our rejection stories and inspire others.
