Bollywood’s favourite bantering couple, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, once again served up a dose of humour for fans, proving that their playful camaraderie is alive and well. On Wednesday, Twinkle shared a light-hearted Instagram video of herself attempting a famous Bollywood dance move, only for Akshay to swoop in with a cheeky roast that had social media in stitches.
In the clip, Twinkle can be seen trying her hand at the iconic hook step from Tamma Tamma Again, the 2017 hit from Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The original number, featuring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, paid homage to the 1990 classic Tamma Tamma Loge, which starred dance legend Madhuri Dixit alongside Sanjay Dutt. While Twinkle set out to channel Madhuri’s effortless grace, she cheekily admitted the results were closer to Dutt’s trademark swagger.
Posting the video, Twinkle captioned, “Thought I was pulling off a Madhuri, but ended up looking like Sanjay Dutt. Side note: fractured my foot during the pandemic attempting this very step. Whose dance style do you think you have and what’s the reality?”
Never one to miss a chance for some good-natured teasing, Akshay slid into the comments section with a line that instantly went viral: “Talent – questionable. Confidence – unshakable. Wife – priceless 😂❤️.” His quip became the highlight of the post, sparking a flood of laughing emojis and witty replies from fans.
One follower declared, “Your comment wins!” while another teased, “Talent questionable… are you not afraid of her?” Author Tahira Kashyap chimed in with, “Killing it. Literally.” Others couldn’t resist adding their own playful takes, with remarks like, “When someone says ‘Break a Leg’… delivered attempting a Madhuri step” and “You are giving competition to Sunny Deol.”
Beyond their social media fun, both Twinkle and Akshay have busy schedules ahead. Twinkle is set to host a talk show titled Too Much with Twinkle and Kajol, which will stream on Prime Video. While the release date is yet to be confirmed, the pairing of two sharp-witted personalities has already piqued fans’ curiosity.
Meanwhile, Akshay is gearing up for Jolly LLB 3, directed by Subhash Kapoor. The much-anticipated sequel brings back Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, and Annu Kapoor, and is slated for release on 19 September. The actor also has the star-studded comedy Welcome To The Jungle in the pipeline.
