Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Samridhii Shukla, who portrays Abhira, talks about the show's most recent plot, which emphasises the growing danger of AI abuse and its moral, societal, and emotional ramifications.

The latest show's plot, which resonates with viewers for its relevancy and authenticity, centres on Abhira and Armaan becoming embroiled in a scandal after a phoney AI-generated video goes viral.

Samridhii discusses it, saying, "It's such a timely and important subject. AI has permeated every aspect of our lives and has the potential to make things simpler, more intelligent, and more effective. However, if it ends up in the wrong hands, it can be quite harmful. The programme does an excellent job of presenting both viewpoints.”

She goes on to say that the show's goal is awareness rather than just drama. “As performers, we frequently have the opportunity to participate in entertaining narratives. However, a story can occasionally be instructive as well."

She continued, "This specific show serves as a reminder that technology is a tool, depending on how we decide to use it. AI has amazing potential when applied morally. It may ruin relationships, peace of mind, and reputations when used improperly."

Samridhii also considered the emotional development of her character during the event. "The phoney video is an invasion of Abhira's identity, not merely a personal assault. This is what gives this story its authenticity. These days, anyone might be the target of altered photos or recordings, which is horrifying. We're demonstrating in this show how to defend the truth even when it appears like the digital world is against you," she elaborated.

The actress feels that discussions about internet ethics are long overdue. "Laws and awareness are not keeping up with the rapid advancement of technology. Thus, we must educate ourselves as a society. Before you believe, make sure. Preserve your privacy. Use caution when disclosing information online. We want the audience to remember that.”
