Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai celebrates 5000 episodes with new promo featuring the leading cast across generations; leaves out Harshad Chopda

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of the longest running shows on Star Plus, has made history by reaching the remarkable achievement of 5000 episodes. This significant milestone signifies the first occasion in Indian television where a daily fiction series has attained such an unmatched figure, honouring not only endurance but a legacy that has resided in the hearts of countless individuals for over ten years.

To commemorate this occasion, a unique promo has been launched, one that perfectly embodies the essence of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The promo invites audiences on an emotional voyage through the years, starting with the memorable Akshara and Naitik, played by Hina Khan and Karan Mehra, whose enduring romance established the show's groundwork.

It subsequently shifts to the charming connection between Niara and Kartik, portrayed by Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan, whose chemistry marked the beginning of a new era.

The adventure carries on with the subsequent chapter, Akshara and Dr Abhimanyu, portrayed by Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopra, whose narrative offers intensity, zeal, and touching drama. The torch is now being passed on to the new generation—Abhira and Armaan, portrayed by Samriddhi Shukla and Rohit Purohit.

While the promo has all the characters and actors who have led the show on their shoulders, it has Harshad Chopda missing. He played Dr Abhimanyu alongside Pranali Rathod.

While there has been a buzz that Harshad and Rajan Shahi had problems, in an earlier interview with TellyChakkar, Rajan acknowledged that although he and Harshad had creative disagreements, they have never had a fight. The producer recognised that he and the actor had differing creative visions, yet they handled it professionally.
