In her earlier interviews, Tanya was questioned about another viral Bigg Boss contestant, Rakhi Sawant, and the similarities drawn between them. Tanya expressed her opinions on the matter and also commended Rakhi for the entertainment value she added to a format like Bigg Boss.

When inquired about her similarities to Rakhi, Tanya responded, "What, will I become Rakhi Sawant just by participating in Bigg Boss? Mai Rakhi Sawant apni aakhri saans tak nahi ban paongi. Ho sakta hai unhe lagta ho ke mai ek chhoti si pratyashi hu. Main izzat karti hoon yaar; woh industry mein senior hain, mujhse pehle aaye hain. Rakhi ma'am ne Bigg Boss ko asli Bigg Boss banaya hai. Woh itni zyada mashhoor ho gayi thi ki shayad ek season se pehle hi nikal gayi, phir unko agle season mein phir se bulaya gaya.”
