Actress Mrunal Thakur left her fans nostalgic as she reunited with her former co-stars from the hit television series Kumkum Bhagya on Wednesday night.

Actor Supriya Shukla, who played Mrunal's mother in the TV serial, took to her Instagram and shared a carousel of photos featuring the Kumkum Bhagya cast members reunited after a long time.

Supriya wrote a heartfelt birthday message for veteran actress Madhu Raja in the post, remembering their long-standing friendship.  Mrunal played the role of Bulbul in the hit show before embarking on her Bollywood journey.

Alongside the picture, Supriya penned the caption in Hindi, “Aap jeeyo hazaaron saal. Aur hum hamesha yoonhi.. milte.. khilkhilate rahein… Aur golgappe.. chaat pakori khate rahein.. khaaskar hamari pyaari chatoree Madhu aunty (May you live for thousands of years. And may we always meet like this, keep laughing… and keep eating golgappas… chaat pakoras… especially our dear Chatore Madhu aunty).”

She added, “Mrunal… apne pyaare se ghar mein der saara pyaar… mazedaar khaana.. meetha.. aur baatein… hum sab phir se wahin chale gaye jahaan se shuru hua tha ye rishta… yoonhi tarakki karti raho pyaari ladki (Mrunal… long love at home with my love… delicious food… sweets… and talks… we all went back to where this relationship started… keep progressing like this my dear girl).”

The actress further wrote, “Yeh geet tumhare pyaare parivaar.. aur pyaar se bhare ghar ke liye tumhari taraf se meri aur se (This song is for your lovely family... and a home full of love, from me to you).”

In the picture, the actors were seen standing and smiling together while posing for the camera. Mrunal looked stunning in a traditional purple salwar kameez.

For the unversed, Mrunal Thakur was a well-known figure on Indian television before entering Bollywood. She became well-known for her role as Bulbul, the second lead in Kumkum Bhagya.

In 2016, Mrunal left the popular television show as her character Bulbul's journey came to an end due to her character's death in the plot.

Supriya Shukla played Mrunal's mother in the television series Kumkum Bhagya, while Sriti Jha portrayed the title character.

On the film front, Mrunal Thakur recently appeared with Siddhant Chaturvedi in the film Do Deewane Sheher Mein. She is gearing up for the release of her next movie, Dacoit, with Adivi Shesh.
