Actress Hansika Motwani and her husband Sohael Khaturiya have officially ended their marriage after the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai granted them a divorce.
Hansika had approached the court seeking separation by mutual consent. In the process, the actor reportedly decided not to seek any alimony from her former husband.
During the legal proceedings, Hansika was represented by advocate Adnan Shaikh. As per the details presented in court, the couple lived together only for a short period after their wedding.
As per the plea submitted to the court, the duo argued over even small matters. Over a period of time, their constant disagreements made it difficult for them to continue living together.
According to the petition, the couple eventually realised that they had major differences in their behaviour, lifestyles and opinions. These differences eventually led to repeated conflicts in their relationship.
The plea also revealed that family members and close friends tried several times to help them reconcile.
All of them encouraged the couple to work through their issues and continue their marriage. However, despite these efforts, things did not get better.
In the end, both Hansika and Sohael agreed that separating would be the best decision for them. The documents submitted in court noted that the couple has been living separately since July 2, 2024.
After several discussions, they agreed to go ahead with a mutual divorce and formally filed their affidavits before the court. The petition also clarified that neither of them has made any claims or demands against the other as part of the separation.
Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya tied the knot on December 4, 2022, at Mandota Fort in Jaipur in a grand traditional Hindu wedding surrounded by family and friends.
