Bigg Boss 19: Malti Chahar clarifies if she was in a relationship with Amaal Mallik prior to coming on the show

Malti Chahar eliminated from Bigg Boss

Malti Chahar was recently eliminated from Bigg Boss 19, just days ahead of the grand finale. Following her eviction, she has addressed speculation regarding her relationship with Amaal Mallik. Speculation arose last month when Malti disputed Amaal’s assertion that they had only met for five minutes prior to the reality show.

Malti mentioned that it was more than just a 5-minute meeting, and he even performed four songs during their encounter. Before long, fans began to wonder if she is the 'girlfriend' Amaal frequently mentions. Following her eviction, Malti has now confirmed that the dating rumours are not true.

She stated that they had encountered each other just 3 months prior to the event and that she was never in a relationship with him.

In an interview with Pinkvilla following her elimination from Bigg Boss 19, Malti Chahar clarified the situation and denied having ever dated Amaal Mallik.

She stated, “Main show mein bhi yehi keh rahi thi ki main Amaal se, jab yeh show shuru hua, teen mahine pehle hi mili thi. Main girlfriend kaise banu, kyunki itna waqt hi nahi mila. Aaj kal hum insan ko pehle jaan lete hain, phir hum log is daur mein date karte hain. Aapko nahi pata, main toh yeh aise hi karti hun. Toh 'jaanne pehchaanne wala' bas ek phase tha. Main uski girlfriend nahi thi.”

(In the show as well, I mentioned that I had encountered Amaal just three months prior to the start of this show. How can I be his girlfriend if we've barely had any time together? Nowadays, we initially become acquainted with someone before going on dates. I’m not sure about you, but that’s my approach. It was merely the stage where we only recognised one another. I wasn't his girlfriend.)

She also mentioned that her comment about having met him for over 5 minutes wasn't intended to imply anything regarding him. She stated that she was unaware that Amaal had informed the housemates that he had seen her for a short time earlier. Only after Shehbaz Badesha informed her did she understand that Amaal had discussed their meeting.

“Isliye mujhe gussa aaya ki tu aisa kyun kar raha hai? Agar tumhe pata hai toh keh do ki tumhe pata hai. Aisa kuchh nahi hai jise aap chhupa sakte ho, sahi hai? Par usme kuch tha; wo sharmaata tha. Yeh sahi prashna uske liye hai, kyunki main nahi dar rahi thi. Ab woh kyu dara hua hai, usse maloom hoga,” she added.
