Trisha Krishnan on working with Thug Life co-star Kamal Haasan says, "sir has been a mentor to me"

Trisha Krishnan is reuniting with Kamal Hasaan for Thug Life

South superstar Trisha Krishnan is gearing up for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Thug Life starring alongside Kamal Haasan. The actress sparked a huge controversy for doing a romance on screen with an actor who is 30 years older than her.

However, the actress has recently talked about Kamal Haasan, calling the actor her mentor. The actress also shared her experience of working with Kamal Haasan.

During a recent interview with India Today, Trisha called Hasaan her mentor and shared, “I have known Simbu and Kamal sir for several years now, and it was quite easy for me. In my film career, Kamal sir has been a mentor to me. Simbu and I have done two films, and we have known each other for a long time. When I entered the film set, it felt like a safe space for me. I have built a comfort level with everyone, even with Mani sir.”

She also shared her experience of working with filmmaker Mani Ratnam and noted that working with him felt like she grew up with him. Trisha has previously collaborated with Ratnam for Ponniyin Selvan 1 and 2.

The actress shared, “Doing Ponniyin Selvan after doing Aayutha Ezhuthu helped me understand Mani sir more. I feel like I grew up with him. I was trained by the best. Working with someone repeatedly helps you form a bond or understand each other better. He now knows what and how to extract from me. I have comfort with him. You are both in sync than you have before.”

Meanwhile, Thug Life also stars Silambarasan TR, Ravi Mohan and Rohit Saraf.
