Tripti Dimri replaces Deepika Padukone in Prabhas’ film Spirit, Sandeep Reddy Vanga confirms the new cast

After Deepika Padukone exited the film Spirit due to her alleged high fee demands, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has found a new heroine and it's Tripti Dimri.

She became popular for her powerful performance as Zoya in Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy. Spirit Team officially released a poster today announcing Tripti Dimri entry in Spirit.

Spirit starring pan-India actor Prabhas is one of the most awaited Telugu films. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who previously made hits like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal, this project is said to have a massive budget of Rs 400 crore. The film is expected to begin shooting in September 2025.

Deepika Padukone was earlier in talks for the female lead but reportedly walked away due to her high remuneration and few more demands which didn’t fit the film’s budget. This gave Vanga a chance to work again with Tripti who impressed both critics and audiences with her role in Animal. Their past collaboration worked well and so the director is confident about repeating the magic in Spirit.

Meanwhile Prabhas is currently awaiting the release of The Raja Saab directed by Maruthi. He will also appear in Kalki AD 2898 Part 2 and Salaar Part 2.
