Incidents of fans breaking into the homes of well-known celebrities are becoming more common in what seems to be a concerning trend.
An unidentified man is accused of gaining unauthorised access to a luxury building in Mumbai's affluent Pali Hill neighbourhood, which is home to several Bollywood celebrities. This is the most recent in a growing number of such breaches.
According to a report by the paparazzo account Instant Bollywood, the individual reportedly entered Sandhu Palace Co-op Housing Society, where notable residents include actress Kriti Sanon, veteran actor Javed Jaaferi, and Indian cricketer KL Rahul.
In addition to violating security, the man is accused of damaging the high-rise lift. The incident has sparked new worries about security protocols in complexes housing celebrities.
This case comes after a similar incident on May 26 when a 47-year-old woman broke into the Bandra home of actor Aditya Roy Kapur. Sangita Pawar, the actor's domestic assistant, answered the door while he was away on a shoot.
The woman, who went by the name Gazala Jhakaria Siddique, said she had brought the actor presents and clothing.
As per reports, Upon Aditya Roy Kapur’s return, he did not recognise the woman and immediately contacted the society manager.
In another unsettling instance, television actor Kushal Tandon shared his experience involving a female fan who trespassed into his home.
Speaking to ETimes, the actor explained that the woman had convinced the building's security guard that she was a friend. With the intercom system malfunctioning, the guard allowed her in. “Kushal further revealed that his mother let the girl in, believing she was someone he knew. However, Kushal’s mother soon sensed something was wrong and called him.”

The issue of fan intrusion is not new but seems to be intensifying. A particularly grave case occurred in January, when a man entered actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence with intentions of robbery. “During the confrontation, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times, including in his neck and shoulder,” requiring emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital to remove a blade fragment lodged in his spine.
These recurring incidents highlight a growing need for stricter security protocols at celebrity residences, especially in high-density urban zones like Mumbai where accessibility can easily be manipulated.
