Tiger Shroff death threat hoax: Man arrested in Punjab for fake assassination claim

Tiger Shroff faced a security scare yesterday after Mumbai Police received a call claiming a contract had been issued to assassinate him. The caller alleged that a private security agency owner had hired him to kill the actor and provided him with a revolver and Rs 2 lakh to carry out the hit.

An FIR was registered, and the probe led police authorities to Kapurthala, Punjab, where the accused was arrested.

The accused is identified as Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh (35), who is reported to have fabricated the entire plot. According to Lokmat Times, he was allegedly motivated by anger after being penalised at work for repeated absenteeism. In an attempt to seek revenge and damage his employer’s reputation, he made the false call implicating his seniors.

Khar Police have booked him under IPC Sections 353(2), 212, and 217 for spreading misinformation and attempting to incite fear and unrest.

Meanwhile Tiger Shroff has been busy working on his upcoming film, Baaghi 4. Earlier this month, the actor unveiled a new poster from the film on his 35th birthday.

“The franchise that gave me an identity and allowed me to express my eagerness to prove myself as an action hero… is now the franchise that is redefining who I am,” Shroff wrote, adding, “He’s definitely not the same this time, but I hope you all accept him the way you did eight years ago.”

Directed by A Harsha and backed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala, Baaghi 4 also stars Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa. The action-packed film is slated to hit theatres on September 5, 2025.
