“Our mom didn’t spare us at all. She used to hit us with chapal and even jhadu when we were kids,” Shilpa said, chuckling at the memory. She went on to acknowledge that her mother’s discipline had a lasting impact, keeping both her and Shamita grounded and well-mannered.

Shamita agreed without hesitation, adding that their mother never shied away from scolding or punishing them when they erred. “She’s very strict, and honestly, it’s because of her that we have the values we do today,” Shilpa emphasised.
