Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga returned as the iconic paranormal investigators, Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, in Warner Bros. The Conjuring: Last Rites. Despite having mixed reviews, the film opened in the theatres with decent numbers. However, the film registered a decline at the box office on Monday.
According to the trade website, The Conjuring: Last Rites earned Rs 5 crore net in India on its fourth day of release. The film’s total now stands at Rs 55.50 crore net in India. The last instalment in the horror franchise registered 12.58% English and 14.48% Hindi occupancy in the theatres.
The film opened in the theatres with Rs 17.5 crore with another Rs 17.5 crore net in India, adding to the box office collection. The film earned Rs 15.5 crore net in India on its third day of release.
The Conjuring: Last Rites is also enjoying a successful run at the US box office. The film collected a whopping $83 million (Rs 692 crore) in its first weekend of release.
Previously, the 2018 spinoff The Nun had set the opening weekend record for Warner Bros. and New Line's Conjuring universe with $53.8 million (Rs 446.54 crore).

The studio has the best start of the year for a horror film (better than May's Final Destination: Bloodlines with $51.6 million) and the third-largest opening for the genre in box office history, following the two other Warner Bros. films, It from 2017 with $123 million and It: Chapter Two from 2019 with $91 million.
The Conjuring: Last Rites also featured Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, and Beau Gadsdon, among others, in the key roles. The final instalment features paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren’s last terrifying case involving mysterious entities they must confront.
